dc.description.abstract Dr. N. Katherine Hayles is a noted postmodern literary critic and theorist as well as the author of How We Became Posthuman: Virtual Bodies in Cybernetics, Literature and Informatics(University Of Chicago Press, 1999) which won the Ren Wellek Prize for the best book in literary theory for 1998-1999. Her most recent book is Electronic Literature: New Horizons for the Literary (University of Notre Dame Press, 2008). She is currently a professor in the Literature Program and the Information Science and Information Studies program (ISIS) at Duke University. en_US
