Abstract:
HerWay Home is a community based integrated primary maternity care program in Victoria, BC. This program supports women who are pregnant or new parents and coping with multiple complex life challenges (such as substance use, mental health issues, violence, trauma, poverty). This research project is a secondary data analysis of interviews done with women and men who would be clients of this program. The particular focus our analysis for this project is how this group of women and men would consider this program to be successful and what participants need from a perinatal substance use support program.
