Abstract
Teacher professional development often occurs in top-down instructed workshops which do not cater to the specific needs of a classroom teacher. Teachers often feel isolated due to busy schedules. Many local educators are working in silos and do not have a viable means of sharing resources or gaining personalized professional development. #YYJEdChat provides an online and in-person forum for educators to share resources as well as opportunities for mentorship and a greater sense of community and support.
