In particular, I argue that to achieve tangible improvements in Indigenous learner success and to further the cause of reconciliation, teachers of all different backgrounds must make a visible effort to Indigenize their educational practices. I also discuss the government and school districts' work to Indigenize and decolonize education, such as UNDRIP, Standard Nine, TRC calls to action, and the strategic plans of various school districts. I use research and personal experiences to offer tips and best practices for educators to consider when bringing in Indigenous content.
