Dhanani, Zahra2012-06-212012-06-2120112012-06-21http://hdl.handle.net/1828/4021In this paper, I advocate for the potential of mindfulness as a pedagogical tool that supports the teaching and learning of the practice of nursing. It is my conviction that mindfulness based in contemplative pedagogy can offer a foundation of teaching and learning to both students and teachers by emphasizing a way of being and knowing that must be developed in order to enact the practice of nursing. I contend that mindfulness can support nurse educators to be responsive to each moment, to each other, to each student, and to each patient as a way to navigate the multiple demands and inherent unknowns in the world of nursing education.eninquirymindfulnessapproach to teachlearningpractice of nursingInquiry into mindfulness as an approach to teach and learn the practice of nursingprojectAvailable to the World Wide Web
