The first Big Tent communique on community university engagement, had a focus on North-South cooperation and was issued in 2010. This new communique arose from thinking about the location of Sicily of the Pascal International Observatory Annual Conference on 7-9 October 2015 in Catania 'on the frontier of fortress Europe'.
