Using a critical discourse analysis, seventeen characters across fifteen televisions shows were examined in order to identify patterns in representation. The initial findings showed that bisexual women in speculative fiction television are often portrayed as dangerous, hypersexual, and manipulative, which reinforces the most prevalent negative stereotypes that bisexual women face.enBisexualityBisexual representationBisexual womenSpeculative fictionTelevisionBiphobiaBi-erasureMonosexismBisexual Women in 21st Century Speculative Fiction TelevisionPosterDepartment of Sociology
