Abstract
The University of Victoria First Peoples House is a leading sustainable building with innovative design. Constructed in 2008, the building features the use of recycled material and rammed earth. In this project, non-destructive testing was conducted to investigate the structural and material performance of the building’s rammed earth walls. Building on the successes of previous studies completed a few years ago, this assessment marks a critical 11 year milestone of the structure.
