dc.description.abstractThe Edgebreaker triangle mesh-coding method is presented along with a software implementation of the method developed by the author. The software consists of two programs. The first program performs the mesh compression, and the second program performs the mesh decompression. Various aspects of the method’s performance are studied through experiments, such as coding efficiency and the time and memory complexity. In terms of coding efficiency, our Edgebreaker method outperform the gzip text-based compression technique on an average 4.19 timesen_US
