Abstract
My research explores the transparency and effectiveness of corporate sustainability initiatives with a focus on the contrast between genuine efforts and greenwashing. This project identifies current sustainability practices and, using case studies as an example, exposes how some companies use misleading tactics or information to appear sustainable. In contrast, my research proposes corporate solutions, emphasizing the need for transparency and effective investments. Furthermore, my research addresses the responsibility of consumers to do their research and advocate for accountability from organizations. This research ultimately provides a blueprint fort businesses and consumers to navigate the "net zero" industry more responsibly and drive genuine environmental progress.
