dc.description.abstractThis thesis consists of a morphological analysis of the category of aspect in Czech. The investigation concentrates on two main questions, 1) how the system of verbal types 1n Modern Czech is influenced by aspectual derivation and 2) what linguistic formants are used for expressing the aspectual opposition. The material used in this study is the stock of verbs of modern Czech as presented in contemporary authoritative dictionaries and as known to the author.en
