Abstract
The aim of my research was to understand the historical influences that played a role in the emergence of the Arab-Israeli conflict and how those influences continue to affect Palestinians today. By analyzing the British presence in Palestine, as well as the contradicting agreements that were established regarding Middle Eastern territory, the foundation of the Palestine-Israel argument has become more comprehensible. Dr. Vibert and I spoke with Aysha Azzam, a Palestinian refugee in the Baqa’a refugee camp, to further understand the real-life impacts that the past 100 years of conflict have had on Palestinians.
