| dc.description.abstract | This paper emphasizes the importance of visual arts integration in the English language arts classroom, focusing on effective ways of providing meaningful and creative opportunities for students to visually demonstrate their learning. The entire project reflects a personal passion for the arts and literacy, a desire to inspire students and foster creativity in the classroom. Included is a collection of resources intended for teachers to use as a starting point to promote creative integration and the arts in the classroom. The importance of teaching and supporting our students in an ever advancing, visually rich and aware society is essential; and a meaningful way to do so is through arts integration. This project supports teaching visual awareness and fluency to our students, allowing them to become arts literate, creatively confident and willing to express their understandings through a variety of art forms. | en_US |
