Perioperative mission nursing in developing countries can be a challenging yet rewarding experience. This project draws on personal and professional experience to assist the prospective perioperative mission nurse in critical thinking when faced with practice challenges in operating rooms worldwide. This guide encompasses tools and tips to safely care for patients across the globe. The journey to practicing abroad begins at home in the pre-mission phase with procuring and packing supplies. The journey continues during the mission trip in the developing country outlining practice standards and obstacles and how to best tack them. The journey ends performing post mission work back in North America.en_US
