Nine communities located across the state of North Carolina are being supported to build community capacity to effectively address local behavioral health equity issues through the most current grant cycle of the North Carolina Behavioral Health Equity Initiative (2019-2022). This interim report outlines the process and findings of a formative, improvement-focused mixed method evaluation designed to measure grantee experiences, challenges and successes at the end of year two (2021) of the three-year grant. The purpose is to support the grantees, grantor, and funder in the design, planning, and implementation of the program, as well as add to the empirical knowledge base around evaluation equity-focused community coalitions.en_US
