The Canadian digital preservation landscape is changing, especially with the entry of Internet Archive Canada and commercial players such as Preservica and Ebsco. Amazon Web Services are also increasingly targeting research libraries specifically for preservation-adjacent services like storage. Within this environment, CRKN is looking at the possibility of offering generic preservation processing and storage services based on their existing Canadiana infrastructure. It’s critical that digital preservation practitioners play a meaningful role in these conversations.en_US
