dc.description.abstractNecessary and sufficient conditions that a singular square complex matrix can be written as a product of two square matrices with prescribed eigenvalues are given. We will also use our results together with some old results to give new proofs or shorter proofs of some known theorems such as RadJavi's theorem about characterization of products of four Hermitlan matrices and Wu's theorem about products of four positive semidefinite matrices.
