Abstract

This paper studies a non-linear, classical field theory of elementary particles. This theory is gauge-invariant and singularity-free and proposes that these particles are made up purely of three fundamental fields whose nonĀ-linear interactions produce a particle-like region of localized energy. Numerical solutions of the resulting equations are presented which show that the model can be used to describe not only the lepton family, but also the two known quark families.
