This study examines the current state of sexual assault service provision in British Columbia (B.C.) through a thematic analysis of focus group data collected as part of the Changing Perceptions Project (CPP). The CPP project looked at current perceptions of sexual assault in B.C. as well as public perceptions of sexual assault and the decision-making processes around disclosure and service-seeking behaviours of people who have experienced sexual assault. The aim is to provide an in-depth understanding of how communities across B.C. currently receive sexual assault services, the strengths and weaknesses of existing services, and how services can be improved to better support people in accessing care from the perception of sexual assault service providers. The review also outlines how sexual assault service delivery is categorized according to a range of models of intervention and how integrated and or highly coordinated models of care tend to be perceived as more responsive to the needs of people who have experienced sexual assault, especially for equity-deserving groups.en_US
