| dc.description.abstract | The present study compared a measure incorporating viewing time with qualitative and attractiveness items to the Sexual Deviance Card Sort (Laws et al., in press) and past sexual behaviour. Twenty-six sexual offenders (nineteen pedophiles and seven rapists) each completed the self-report card sort and viewed six hundred and forty slides. The offenders were unaware their viewing time was being recorded. Viewing time showed the greatest consistent classification overall (88% for gender preference and 81 % for age preference). Results also demonstrated that for viewing time and the qualitative and attractiveness ratings, a combination of nude and clothed imagery produced the most information. | |
