Given the lack of regulation of engineering as a profession in India, this proposed project entitled "Improving safety, ethics, and professional practice in Engineering via youth training" focuses on developing a short 10-week course. As the Engineering & Science Librarian, I was approached by the primary volunteers and partner institutions, Dr. Rishi Gupta at UVic and Dr. Urmil Dave at Nirma University to develop a library instruction session for students to be delivered to students as part of this course. I have had the opportunity and privilege to provide research consultations to many international students from developing countries at UVic as well as the privilege of working with many students on developing their research topics, finding resources as well as teaching them critical information literacy concepts.en_US
